Setup guide

From download to working recoil control

Follow these six steps once. Setup takes about ten minutes, and the same steps apply to both AXYN and Aptitude.

  1. 01

Get the script into your inbox

Sign in with a verified email, then request AXYN from the store or buy Aptitude. The private link and, for Aptitude, your license key arrive by email and stay available in your customer dashboard.

Tip: Use the same email everywhere so everything lands in one dashboard.

  2. 02

    Install Logitech G HUB

Download G HUB from Logitech's official site and install it. Open it once and let it finish updating before you continue. A Logitech mouse must be connected and recognised.

Tip: If G HUB shows no device, unplug and replug the mouse, then restart G HUB.

  3. 03

    Create a script profile

In G HUB, open the profile for Rainbow Six Siege, go to the assignments area and open the scripting editor. Create a new script, paste the STABLEX script in, and save it.

Tip: Remove or disable any other recoil scripts first — two scripts fighting each other feel broken.

  4. 04

    Match sensitivity, DPI and FOV

The patterns are calibrated to your settings. Enter the exact in-game sensitivity, your mouse DPI and your FOV at the top of the script, then save again. Change any of the three later and you must update the script too.

Tip: Write your values down — most 'it stopped working' tickets are a changed DPI setting.

  5. 05

    Enable and test

Keep G HUB running, start Rainbow Six Siege in borderless or fullscreen, and test in the shooting range. Fire a full magazine at a wall from medium distance and check the grouping.

Tip: Test with one weapon at a time so you can feel the difference.

  6. 06

    Fine-tune

If shots climb, raise the strength slightly. If they drop below the target, lower it. Adjust in small steps and re-test in the range after each change until the pattern stays flat.

Tip: Retest after a game update — recoil values can change.
